Your Rights

  • • To maintain contact with family and friends (where safe)
  • • To access education, healthcare, and activities
  • • To have your cultural and religious needs respected

  • • Teachers and school staff

Making a Complaint

If you're not happy about something, you have the right to make a complaint. You can:

  • • Talk to your foster carer or social worker
  • • Contact Silver Lining Fostering directly
  • • Ask for an independent advocate
  • • Contact the local authority complaints team
  • • Contact Ofsted if needed

If You're Worried

If you're worried about anything or feel unsafe, it's important to tell someone:

  • • Tell a trusted adult
  • • Contact your social worker
  • • Call 999 in an emergency
